• Imperative to collect as much information as possible when collecting samples
• Starting from lung and trying to extend to other organs

• Capture branching structure of airways and vasculature in specimen metadata
• Compare branching structure with available ontologies, ensure ontologies have required detail

Ideas for how to action

• Do a review of lung ontology to assess whether branching is captured in definitions
• Improve level of detail in metadata around sampling location - collect directly from the source.
